Web Content and Social Media Manager

We are looking for a pro-active and self-sufficient content manager with social media skills, to take the lead in editing our website and managing our social media presence with a view to developing a digital engagement strategy to drive visitors to convert.

What you will do – Working from our Belsize Park London office, you will be reporting to the company CEO, taking ownership of our e-commerce website, social media and digital marketing channels. Part of your role will be to assess and improve the content in place and the website UX design, optimising the process from product to checkout. Products and categories will also be kept up to date, including descriptions and photography, and should be optimised for search engines.

In addition to creating original, audience-relevant and on-brand content (website, landing pages, web banners, email marketing, blogs, social), you will brief and manage external marketing-related agencies and use Google Analytics to monitor the performance of web content. Insights gathered from this analysis will be used to shape your decisions on future content. Your role will also involve managing and building engagement through existing social media channels, planning the content requirements and generating content for them.

You will produce monthly reports on key performance stats and have the opportunity to run ad campaigns (this is currently outsourced, but we would like to bring this in-house). At the same time, you will maintain awareness of industry trends and developments.

What experience you will need - -

-Experience working with Magento, or similar business to consumer e-commerce websites.

-Experience working with CMS.

-Experience of owning a content calendar and managing content production and publishing (incl tagging and HTML, CSS).

-Excellent copywriting skills.

-Excellent numerical skills.

-Excellent excel skills.

-Experience building interest in a company’s products, driving traffic to an e-commerce site with engaging stories and online events that are organically shared.

-Ability to edit images using tools like Photoshop.

-Experience of using Google analytics to analyse content and campaign performance.

-Experience of email marketing.

-Excellent understanding of and experience managing social media channels (Pinterest, Houzz, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc).

-Knowledge of SEO and content strategy.

-Ability to work pro-actively and independently and to follow tone and style guidelines.

-Experience and knowledge of the tile industry an advantage but not a requirement.

Qualifications -

-Appropriate degree or professional qualification and or proven experience in digital marketing.
